Written for ELLA's prompt at poets united
O fair maiden
from the cup as I sip
could there be something
between the cup and the lip
O fair maiden
I see your eyes in the
teacup brimming
everytime your home I trip
The lips have
many a words to tell
Yet I fear the slip
between the cup and my lip
O fair maiden
from the cup as I sip
could there be something
between the cup and the lip
O fair maiden
I see your eyes in the
teacup brimming
everytime your home I trip
The lips have
many a words to tell
Yet I fear the slip
between the cup and my lip
Ah, the secrets that lie in waiting
